7/13/2008 CENSUSES TO CEASE?

The Government is thinking of ending the taking of regular census returns, with the 27 March 2011 census possibly being the last one. The Treasury select committee deems the census no longer fit for purpose, citing the migration shifts of the population as the main reason.

Pity the family historians of the future!
